Bright sunlight is a vital energy source, and objects illuminated by it display their truest, vibrant colors. Over the years, LEDs have consistently progressed toward simulating the natural light spectrum. Now, ProLight Technology’s Brill series delivers natural light-like illumination indoors.
Because the wavelength of natural light is optimal for regulating the human body’s circadian rhythms, sufficient exposure to natural light can help maintain alertness during the day and aid sleep at night, human-centric lighting design has always prioritized simulating the full spectrum of natural light. Furthermore, LEDs, long considered resistant to high levels of blue light, often cause colors to appear distorted and bluish. However, a full-spectrum, continuous wavelength design ensures the faithful reproduction of all colors, eliminating this blue cast. The ProLight Brill series utilizes a blue chip and red, green, and yellow phosphors to create a model that closely resembles the natural light spectrum. Combined with a full-spectrum design with a CRI of 98, it reproduces true colors. In the spectrum graph below, the main curve (red) of the ProLight Brill spectrum follows the 4000K solar spectrum. Compared to competing brands (blue curve), the peak wavelength in the blue light range (430-460nm) is lower, reducing the potential for harmful short-wavelength blue light, resulting in a more comfortable lighting experience.

In addition, LEDs often experience color shift and brightness degradation due to heat. ProLight Technology has always maintained high standards for color tolerance control. ProLight’s COB series products maintain a color tolerance of SDCM = 2, while the Brill series achieves a breakthrough by limiting color tolerance to 1 bin. Luminous efficiency loss due to heat is precisely controlled to within 7%, making it suitable for commercial lighting applications requiring high light quality.
The image below (left) shows the color temperature immediately after lighting, and the image below (right) shows it several minutes after lighting.
The ProLight Brill exhibits no heat-induced color degradation or color shift; however, color temperature variations among competing brands are already evident.

Brill Color Tolerance SDCM ≤ 1

The ProLight Brill series features a 16W COB package with a CRI of 98 and is available in three color temperatures 2700K, 3000K, and 4000K. This versatile LED light source is suitable for various indoor lighting designs and as a photography fill light. The full-spectrum wavelength can also be used with 660nm or 460nm light sources for plant lighting.
