EVERLIGHT has expanded its high-performance JU series of Chip-on-Board (COB) LEDs to include 7, 10, and 15W models in addition to the existing 4W version. COB LEDs are particularly well-suited for directional applications requiring a powerful single source for effective illumination, such as retrofitting of GU, MR, and PAR lights, downlights, and candelabra.

The JU series now consists of four JU1215 (15x12x1.6 mm) and one JU2024 (20x24x1.6 mm) units, with power ranging from 4 watts to 15 watts. All types offer efficiencies of 110 lm/W or higher at a 3000K CCT, CRI of >80Ra, and a base temperature of 25°C, with versions available from ANSI standard 2700K to 6500K. The JU series also offers a three-step (McAdam) option for advanced applications.

JU COB LEDs are multi-chip solutions that are directly applied to the substrate without a housing for efficient heat dissipation. Their ceramic substrate results in a thermal resistance of less than 2°C/W, with a maximum power COB LED of approximately 0.8°C/W. Low thermal resistance and excellent heat dissipation ensure high reliability and extend LED lifespan.

Each COB LED has unique characteristics, with carefully calculated chip configurations achieving optimal lumens of >400ml/$ and an optically compact light-emitting surface (LES) for effective integration with secondary optics.

Additional JU COB LED options are available, such as color selection®, high voltage (45 to 250 volts) for different regions and applications, and high CRI (>90Ra). All JU COB LED undergo LM80 lumen maintenance testing and come with a full range of accessories, including standardized brackets and suitable reflectors.

The JU series offers more high-power members for track lighting, downlighting, or low-slot applications, at 25W, 35W, and 50W respectively. Meanwhile, 4W, 8W, 13W, 17W, and 26W MCPCB 120lm/W COB models are also available, providing a wider range of options.
