The F90 COBs combine market-leading efficacy with over 90% color fidelity, making them an ideal solution for all commercial and residential downlighting applications. The F90 COBs utilize potassium fluorosilicate (PFS) phosphor technology licensed from Current Lighting Solutions, LLC for commercial lighting applications and from GE Lighting (a Savant company) for residential lighting applications. The F90 COBs join Bridgelux’s previously launched F90 SMD and F90 filament product lines.

The F90 COBs are available in a variety of light-emitting surface (LES) diameters, ranging from 8 mm to 22 mm, with efficacy up to 190 lumens/watt. This represents a 20% improvement over the previous generation Gen8 CRI 90 COBs and a 5% improvement over the Gen8 CRI 80. This breakthrough performance represents the highest efficacy of any COB on the market. The F90 COBs feature an extremely temperature-rugged housing, capable of withstanding temperatures up to 95°C at normal drive current (as shown in the table below) and up to 85°C at maximum drive current (2X). This makes the F90 COB an ideal engine, given the field temperatures of typical ICAT-rated recessed ceiling products.
