1. Core Parameters and Technical Highlights of the Sosen LED Driver PA-HF Series
The PA-HF series initially releases five power models: 40W, 60W, 80W, 120W, and 165W, with an input voltage range of 184-264Vac, covering the power grid standards of most countries worldwide. The entire series boasts a rated operating efficiency of 95%, with efficiency fluctuations not exceeding 2% across the 100-240Vac input voltage range-a top-tier performance among D4i drivers in the same power segment.
NFC whole-box programming technology is the most practical upgrade of the PA-HF series. Traditional DALI driver parameter configuration requires individual wiring, resulting in single-lamp programming times exceeding 30 seconds during mass production. PA-HF supports contactless NFC programming, allowing manufacturers to batch configure output current, dimming curves, and protection parameters for the entire product box without disassembling the box or wiring. Programming time per box is reduced to less than one minute, significantly improving production efficiency on lighting production lines. This function also supports parameter modification during on-site maintenance, allowing maintenance personnel to adjust drive parameters via handheld devices without disassembling the lights.
Standby power consumption control is a crucial, often overlooked, indicator that significantly impacts actual energy savings. The PA-HF series boasts standby power consumption below 0.5W, complying with EU ErP directives and US DLC energy efficiency requirements. Based on a domestic installed base of 5 million smart streetlights, if all adopted driver power supplies with standby power consumption below 0.5W, standby power consumption alone could reduce electricity consumption by over 200 million kWh annually.
The driver features a built-in 24Vdc auxiliary power output with a rated power supply capacity of 250mA, directly powering light sensors, microwave sensors, and LoRa/NB-IoT communication nodes conforming to the Zhaga Book 18/NEMA ANSI C136.41 standard. This design eliminates the cost of additional auxiliary power supplies for luminaire manufacturers, reduces internal wiring points, and improves overall luminaire reliability.
2. Reliability and Safety Design
Both the LED module and driver are equipped with independent over-temperature protection points. When the LED board temperature exceeds a set threshold, the driver automatically linearly derating to prevent accelerated LED light decay due to high temperatures. When the driver’s internal temperature exceeds a safe value, the driver enters a hiccup protection mode, automatically restarting after the temperature recovers, preventing direct damage to the components.
The Sosen LED Driver PA-HF series is compatible with both Class I and Class II luminaire designs, a feature particularly important for the export market. In the North American market, most outdoor lighting fixtures adopt a Class II design, requiring drivers with double insulation. In the European market, both Class I and Class II luminaires coexist, and a single driver compatible with both designs significantly reduces the number of material codes for luminaire manufacturers.
The product has an IP20 protection rating, is designed for internal installation in luminaires, and operates within a temperature range of -40°C to +70°C, meeting the outdoor environmental requirements of most regions worldwide. The MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) exceeds 50,000 hours, theoretically providing a lifespan of over 11 years based on 12 hours of daily outdoor lighting operation. Sosen Led Driver offers an industry-standard 8-year warranty for the PA-HF series, based on actual accelerated aging test data, not marketing promises.

3. Certification System and Market Positioning
The Sosen Led Driver PA-HF series has fully passed the mainstream global market access certifications: D4i, DALI-2, ENEC, CE, CB, and UKCA. ENEC certification is the highest level of safety certification in the European lighting market, requiring annual factory inspections and product sampling tests. Compared to the standard CE certification, it enjoys higher market credibility. CB certification helps manufacturers quickly obtain safety certifications in most countries worldwide, shortening the product export certification cycle.
This series is primarily used in applications including: smart city road lighting, tunnel lighting, park public lighting, parking lot lighting, stadium perimeter lighting, and port and dock lighting.
