Bridgelux is expanding its high-fidelity product line with the addition of Thrive 93 and Thrive 98 (CRIs of 93 and 98, respectively). Together, these two series create a range of stable LED solutions that achieve the closest match to natural light within the wavelength range crucial to human health (from blue to green). All Thrive series products utilize broad blue light chip technology and a special phosphor blend to effectively address the cyan light deficiency commonly found in most LED solutions. “The key to the Thrive series’ ability to so perfectly simulate natural light lies in its broad-spectrum blue light emission,” said Mark van den Berg, Vice President of Sales at Bridgelux. “By creating multiple blue light emission peaks, we are able to better simulate natural light than competing LEDs, which can only emit a single, narrow band of blue light.” The benefits of a rich blue light spectrum and full-spectrum coverage include improved eye comfort, sleepwake cycles, and mood well-being.

Thrive 98 uses longer wavelengths of red light, achieving an R990; while Thrive 93’s red light peak is slightly shorter in the visible spectrum, resulting in an R950. This subtle adjustment makes it 12% more efficient than Thrive 98 and other 90 CRI comparable products. “Thrive 93 not only offers superior energy efficiency but also achieves high-quality color rendering across the entire spectrum in the same LED package,” said Tim Lester, CEO of Bridgelux.

Bridgelux conducted a comprehensive formal survey to launch Thrive 93 in the lighting design industry, involving some of the top designers in Europe and North America. Over 30 hours of interviews were conducted, comparing Thrive to traditional 90 CRI products. Over 90% of respondents indicated a preference for Thrive over 90 CRI products. Designers felt Thrive presented colors more naturally. Surprisingly, designers also found Thrive performs well at color temperatures they don’t typically use (such as 4000K), so they would consider expanding the color temperature range to include more options. Thrive products are already available on multiple platforms, ensuring you enjoy sunlight-like lighting at home and in the office.
